The number of participants are huge and it is an IAAF Road Race Gold Label event which means it is among one of the best races to be held in the world. Those that hold this status include the World Marathon Majors and the World’s Best 10K.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to run this year’s marathon as am recovering from an injury so I decided that I will only concentrate on distances like the 10km for now. It’s good to take a break sometimes, you come back feeling rejuvenated.
Will be back soon, I promise! I can still remember last year’s run though (see my post on how I ran SCMS 2012) and while it wasn’t the best of the lot , you never forget every marathon you run. It’s something you keep with you always.
Anyone taking part in this race?
