I was kindly invited to take part in Run for Hope Singapore this year which is an annual run in the organised by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, Regent Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) to raise much-needed awareness and support for cancer research. Read more here.
Consisting of a 10km run or a 3.5km fun walk/run, this event has no timing so that meant I could take as many photos as I liked while enjoying the route.
Unlike normal bibs that had the numbers taking centre stage, we were asked to write what we ran for. This was my bib.
I have seen first hand and experienced the pain that cancer patients go through and shared the ups and downs of this illness and really hope that more research will lead to better and less painful ways to cure it. (chemo is awful to say the least)
So, this was a relaxed run/walk for me which I am
slightly very relieved at as I still have a bad cough that has been badgering me for the past two weeks. It sure did feel good to get the legs going again though.
Anyway, did the 3.5km walk instead because I woke up late ( note to self: when setting alarm, make sure weekdays only setting is off).
Here are more photos:

Heartening to see kids running too

Their mascot, a badger. Couldn’t guess what it was on the first try.
It’s always great to run for a good cause isn’t it? What will you run for?
