Burns Beach is Beautiful

Can’t believe that it’s been almost a month since my last post. Living in a new country takes some adjusting and I am still in that phase where I need to get a routine that I really like.

Currently living at my mum in law’s bed and breakfast which conveniently has a beach literally at the back. A mere 5 minutes walk is all it takes for me to enjoy the lovely scenery. I do my long runs, sprints and walks whenever I get the chance. It doesn’t really burn off all the carbs that I have been eating (which is way too much, but I can’t help it) but any step taken is better than none at all.

Here are some of the lovely pictures I managed to take while out on Burns Beach but not in order.

Some days the sunset takes your breath away, other days it’s really hot and I get thirsty so quickly as the air is so much drier here.

 The long and winding road..

I usually run for about 8-10 km, but on LSD days they take me to about 15km.

I felt hot and cold at the same time on this particular run

I love this sweater, it’s been my staple for beating the chilly weather and has kept me warm on many a cold night.

With my beloved hubby, walks along the beach with him are awesome. He sometimes likes to run ahead though. 🙂

Sunset views are the best, don’t you think?

Loving the cloud formations. Each day is different of course.

If you stand still, you can hear the rhythm of the waves singing the song of the sea.

And when it sets, it’s time to go home to a nice hot meal. Ahhhh….
