Protein FX Lo Carb Honey Almond Review

Sometimes for a quick fix, I turn to protein bars for the win. While I actually love Quest Bars, they are too expensive for my budget at the moment. Sob. After getting over this fact, I suppose there are other decent tasting bars out there waiting to be discovered.

So here is my first review of one of them. It’s from Aussie Bodies and the flavor is Protein FX Lo Carb Honey Almond. I bought them at discount at Woolworths (4 for $7 bucks)which works out to be about $1.75aud a bar. Not too bad for 12.7 grams of protein each bar contains.

Taste wise, it wasn’t overly sweet. While the other protein bars tasted like dessert, this satisfies your craving for sweetness but you can still tell it’s a protein bar. I like the crunchy factor as I prefer my food with a bit of texture. If you look below at the nutrition information, I guess it’s not too bad as well.

You can see the chia seeds in this bar… The bar itself looks like rice crispies doesn’t it? Anyway, sorry this review is so short. I saw it, bought it, ate it and then wrote about it in the quickest time today. Overall, I would buy it again for the price and the fact that it tastes quite nice to me personally.

Going for a run in a little while as today’s weather is great for a run. Not too hot, cloudy and breezy just how I like it. 🙂

Oh yeah, any bars to recommend? Please let me know!

Thanks for reading.
